Choosing a partner is like choosing a set of problems, it can work so long as those set of problems are ones you can work with (Dan Wile)
Couples Therapy
We all just want to be loved, cared for, and supported by our partner.
Most don’t intend to blow up their relationships or marriages, but many find themselves on the brink of disaster and reaching out to a couples therapist. Here’s the thing — conflict management and emotional regulation are not taught in school. Additionally, if you’ve had less than great relationship role models in your life, that’s like being on a life raft in the middle of the ocean unsure how to get to shore.
My message to you: there’s no shame in reaching out for help.
I use the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy, both are researched backed and evidenced based methodologies for treating couples. My goal is to deepen the understanding between couples (lets help you hear each other!!), heal from past trauma or conflicts, create a shared life, and provide blueprints for success to handle conflicts.
